Apart from taking supplements, there are three things that you can do to help keep your joints healthy.
Try including the following in your lifestyle or daily activities in order to keep your joints in a healthy condition.
Hydrate
Try to drink a sufficient amount of water daily as our joints require adequate quantities of water in order to function at their best. Carry a water bottle around with you as a reminder to hydrate if you find that you do not tend to consider water when in need of a beverage.
Maintain a healthy weight
It is vital that you are of a healthy weight as this will reduce the amount of stress that is placed on your joints. If you are overweight or obese try making changes to your diet and engage in an exercise program. You will find that consulting your doctor, a dietician, as well as a personal trainer, may be really useful.
Exercise!
Low impact exercises (such as cycling or swimming) do not place a lot of pressure on our joints. In addition, they help to build muscle which supports our joints.
